"One Plus One Equals Eleven"

The rather provocative title for this week’s program did not come from our Featured Guest, Arielle Ford. After discussing how we each defined oneness, Arielle shared this wonderfully simple idea that came from her husband Brian Hilliard. We loved that definition and decided that it certainly provides lots of possibilities for thought and discussion.

An area of Arielle’s work that focuses on an issue that preoccupies a great percentage of our population is finding the love of our lives, our soul mate. Arielle defines a Soulmate as, “Someone with whom you can be completely yourself, somebody with whom you share unconditional love, and when you look into each other’s eyes you have the experience of being home.”

Arielle says that, “We all have many, many soul mates not just romantic partners such as our best friend our business partner, sibling, parent, or children.” She deeply believes that, “If you spend time having gratitude and appreciation for the soul mates that are already in your life, and spend more time focusing on the love that you already have, you’ll begin to magnetize a romantic partner into your life.”

Related to this, she emphatically discusses, “The big lie in conventional thinking that we will connect with only one soul mate in our lives.” She says, “There is somebody out there for you. Whatever beliefs you currently hold such as, you’re too old, too fat, too damaged, too broke it’s a lie. If you’re willing to invest time, energy, intention and attention into your love life you can manifest what I call, ‘big love.”

Arielle also fervently believes that we don’t need to suffer. She outlines the many avenues of help that are available if we just take advantage of them such as, professional therapists, coaches, counselors, emotional freedom techniques, prayers, processes, and rituals.
